A giant personality in a small package
The French Bulldog took the world by storm and became one of the most popular breeds anywhere. Frenchies are affectionate, charming and small enough for small-space living. The modern Frenchie began with the old English bulldog; French breeders developed a smaller, distinctly "French" type, and American breeders set the standard that prescribes the breed's well-known bat ears. Some of our French Bulldogs come from esteemed European lines. The French Bulldog is a heavy-boned, muscular dog with a short, smooth coat: compact, with a large square head, plenty of wrinkles and large, erect, bat-like ears. Frenchies live for human companionship and have an average lifespan of 10–12 years. Exercise needs are minimal, but they do need short daily walks. Because they are flat-faced, avoid strenuous exercise and heat, and keep them away from water — their front-heavy build means they cannot swim. Grooming is easy: some brushing, and keeping the wrinkles on the face clean and dry.
Health Tested
Every parent is screened before joining our program.
Guardian Home Program
Most of our dogs live with families, not in kennels.
Both parents of every litter are health tested for hips, elbows, heart, eyes, patellas and dentition. We go above the basic four required by the national breed club. French Bulldogs also have their airways X-rayed to check for a narrow trachea, and their soft palates checked so they do not overlap the trachea and cause breathing problems. Genetics are screened with both Embark and Paw Print for the next generation of breeding parents.

Join the WaitlistMost of our breeding French Bulldogs live as cherished family members in guardian homes, never in kennels. A guardian family receives a top-quality Frenchie at no cost and keeps the dog as a family pet, while we keep the breeding rights and pay for all health testing and breeding expenses. When the dog retires, we cover the spay or neuter and ownership transfers to the guardian family. Guardian homes live within an hour of Pasadena, Maryland, own their home with a fenced yard, feed one of the Victor dog foods we require and keep the dog on NuVet vitamins.
